Dear South Leicester Residents.

👮🏼‍♀️  July has started with so far, having the privilege of attending a community engagement event that brought together a variety of groups, including Scouts, and more, some of whom live with hidden disabilities.
 

🫱🏼‍🫲🏼  Events like these are incredibly important as they provide opportunities to meet people from all walks of life, listen to their experiences, and build positive relationships within our communities. As a Police Community Support Officer, understanding the diverse needs of the people we serve is a vital part of my role. Taking the time to engage, listen, and learn helps ensure that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
 

🎨  It was also fantastic to give local children the opportunity to safely look around the police van and learn more about policing. A huge thank you to Colour Bank for kindly allowing us to use their car park, providing a safe and welcoming space for the children and helping to make the event a success.

Thank you to everyone who attended and took the time to speak with us. Community engagement events like this help strengthen relationships, increase understanding, and build trust between the police and the communities we serve.
